The Energy Score

The purpose of Divergenthood is to share tools and practices that allow you to rest, reclaim, and restore your life after burnout. There are so many mental health and productivity resources out there, but I never felt like they spoke to the way my divergent mind worked. I always found myself recreating strategies and finding connections between seemingly unrelated things that led to external success and, ultimately, burnout.

Read the About Page to learn the purpose of Divergenthood.

Each tool I share on Divergenthood has one or more energy focus points. The energy focus shows you which area of healing the tool or practice focuses on. The chart below defines the areas of healing and their relationship to the seven forms of rest. Please use this chart as a reference when considering whether a tool will meet your needs.

The Energy Criteria

Countless people have asked me multiple variations of this question:

“What have you implemented to rest, reclaim, and restore your life after unmasking or experiencing burnout?”

My answer to that question is simple: It depends on my energy level. So, I created the Energy Score, an evaluation system based on three criteria:

  1. Accessibility

  2. Implementation

  3. Sustainability

Each tool I share supports methods that allow you to ground, create, express, and transform your human experience in alignment with your authentic self. The criteria I use to consider the investment and return needed to access, implement, and sustain each practice, book, ritual, or routine. This approach helps ensure that your investment supports your journey back to balance, rest, and self-connection.

My Commitment and Values

Access to my Substack content is free, but I do not take your energy for granted. It is your most valuable resource. I am not here to promote inefficient products or waste your time with typical strategies and unthoughtful approaches.

To ensure that your investment is honored, I’m honoring the following commitment:

  • I will only recommend tools and practices I have used and found valuable.

  • I will only share content that prioritizes the needs of divergent minds.

  • I will be authentic in my writing and presentation.

  • I will publish a new edition of Unconventional Intellectual every Wednesday.

Unconventional Intelligence is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
