It’s interesting that you talk about social media as I have recently deleted TikTok as it was the one app that was draining me the most but it seems to be the only one you use to connect with people other than Substack. Why is TikTok not considered social media for you? Do you only use it for sharing your content and not consuming yourself? It is how I found you originally and feel like I could be missing out on more content from you so am feeling torn now. Thank you for any advice 🙏

Hi Sharon! I have been using tiktok again to create content that ties back to my Substack content but I deleted it because I was consuming too much content on the app and it was a distracting from my other projects. In the future I’ll post most of my videos on my Substack post and my YouTube in a couple of weeks so you won’t miss content.

I keep forgetting about YouTube, it’s not a platform that I use really but need to start using more. I enjoy watching videos more than listening to podcasts so I keep tossing up between going back to TikTok as I did find some great content (as I mentioned it was where I found you) but as your piece said it’s finding that balance really and knowing what serves you in the long run.

Loved this! I used to call my bestfriend a grandma for waking up 2 hours early on weekdays to slowly get ready and watch her sitcoms before work. I work a super demanding job now and decided to try her routine. Game charger!

Time to delete social media apps next!
