Hello! Welcome back to Divergenthood. It is officially February and Black History Month! Today, I have some exciting updates for the Divergenthood community.
First, thank you to all of the Divergenthood subscribers. Your support strengthens this community, and itâs inspiring to see how we grow together.
For the OGâs who have sat with me as I have grown into a more embodied version of myself. Thank you for your support over the last 18 months. They say most writers barely make it to a year on Substack. That could have been me, but your presence consistently reminded me that this work is bigger than me, and I am forever grateful for your engagement and encouragement.
Now, letâs get into some things.
What Does Divergenthood Mean?
The reason Divergenthood is named Divergenthood rather than Neuro-Divergenthood is that oppression runs deeper than neurodivergence. We canât talk about one form of oppression while leaving the other forms in the parking lot.
The purpose of Divergenthood is clear: to support people who are marginalized by race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, and/or intellectual ability by providing education that supports burnout recovery, identity awareness, energy management, and integration. We offer practical tools that support self-actualization and collective perpetuity.
Collective perpetuity means the long-term sustainability and thriving of the community as a wholeâfocusing on ongoing well-being that benefits everyone, because we believe in collective betterment over you self-actualization.
Divergenthood is special because it recognizes the shared oppression of anyone whose identity diverges from societyâs standard of normal. This is important because it underscores that one form of oppression is not greater than another; none of us is free until we are all free.
Divergenthood focuses on how systemic oppression manifests in our daily lives, leading us to suppress our gifts, disconnect from our intuition, and ultimately burn out. We are over-pathologized, underutilized, and stigmatized, which negatively impacts how we see ourselves, our relationships, and our contributions to the world.
My goal is not to teach people what to think or how to live. That is an ego mission.
We all have a divine path, and the best person to determine your path is you.
My goal is to provide information, conversation, and connection that broaden your perspective beyond the mainstream, grounded in current research, ancient truths, and lived experience, so you can trust yourself enough to walk your path and align with your purpose without constantly questioning yourself.
If you are looking for practical, grounded guidance that moves you out of your head and into your body in a sustainable way, and the mission of Divergenthood resonates with you, you are in the right space, and I am glad you are here.
New Subscriber Benefits
The purpose of the winter season is to build capacity to hold space for what will bloom in the spring. When I first started this Substack, I wasnât clear on the publicationâs goal. I knew I wanted to get something started, so I did. It was rocky, but we learn and grow, and now itâs time to define the space.
This month, I am introducing new benefits for free and paid subscribers: (1) weekly live sessions & (2) deeper content delivered in written, video, and audio formats that support the practical application of the concepts discussed at Divergenthood.
Weekly live sessions explore topics like giftedness, neurodivergence, energy management, identity/masking, pleasure, love, relationships, and more. These sessions are not designed to be stale; we will keep them raw, real, and direct.
In February, the live sessions will be held on Fridays at 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Bring your snacks, blanket, and whatever makes you comfortable, because we are going to get into some things.
All subscribers will receive the replays, which will be available after the session.
Deeper content is designed to support integration. As neurodivergent people, we tend to intellectualize rather than act, leaving us ruminating on how and why something should be done rather than doing it. I get it because I am the same way, which is why I designed the deeper content to help you move out of your head and into your heart.
The content will vary between practical guidance, videos, and audio episodes.
SNEAK PEEK: Februaryâs monthly paid perk is a Cannabis Terpene Guideâ for educational purposes only. Remember, I am not a medical professional; I am an educator.

Plus, did you notice the new Divergenthood Shield?! Straight from my mind to the 3D. I will explain all the elements in a future post.

Loving the direction this is going in. Wish I could click everything on the poll haha Iâll be looking forward to practical tools along with everything else. đ
I'm glad you popped up on my feed. I feel like I relate to a lot of the topics you discuss and it definitely helps me understand myself more. It's validating, it makes me feel less alone, especially being around people that don't understand how my brain works. Thank you for being you and sharing your knowledge. :)
